COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Berks County celebrated Thanksgiving traditions as local groups hosted turkey trots— a free 5K run and community feasts with hot meals provided by organizations such as The Hope Rescue Mission in Reading, The Boyertown Salvation Army, and CARE Inc. during the holiday.  WFMZ-TV
  • Volunteers from Reading High School, churches, and local businesses served 150 free Thanksgiving meals at Marvel Ranch on November 27 — a key part of a wider Berks County effort that fed many people in need.
