- ➤ The ReadingFilm Office will host its 11th annual ReadingFilmFEST from Oct. 9–12 in Reading, where over 65 films will be shown and more than 40 filmmakers—including those from England—will attend community screenings and events. StudentFEST on Oct. 9 will showcase young filmmakers while the opening gala on Oct. 10 at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts will feature filmmaker talks and live music. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Cultures from around the world gathered at City Park in Reading for the 6th annual Berks Cultural Diversity Festival, where groups like the Dominican Association, the Jewish Federation, Centro Hispano, CICOP Ministry, and the NAACP Reading Branch showcased food, music, and community resources. - ➤ Weis Markets donated a check for $6,895 — raised during the 2024-25 school year through the Weis 4 Schools program — to Oley Valley Elementary School on Sept 16th. The funds came from customers using their Weis Rewards cards at local stores. Reading Eagle

- ➤ Today, the Berks County recorder of deeds filed numerous real estate transactions from various townships with sale prices ranging from $1 to over $1,300,000 - some transfers did not include a purchase price because no money was exchanged.
