- ➤ Way-Har Farm Market in Jefferson Township is joining this summer’s 8th annual Scooped: An Ice Cream Trail by offering about 90 rotating flavors, including nondairy options, as it prepares to celebrate 55 years in September. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A serious crash between a tractor-trailer and a car on Route 61 and Zweizing Road in Perry Township occurred just before 6 p.m. Wednesday and left three juveniles in critical condition and a commercial building heavily damaged — the tractor-trailer's driver was unharmed and Route 61 reopened by 10:30 p.m. WFMZ-TV

- ➤ Albright College will auction most of its art collection in July at an event in Downingtown and online to help ease its budget gap as the school struggles to maintain the works — the collection's contents and local significance remain unclear. WFMZ-TV

- ➤ Officials with the USDA announced that Montgomery County and six contiguous counties are eligible for emergency loans to help farmers recover from severe drought conditions. The loans will help cover essential repairs and refinancing needs—applications will be accepted until February 2nd. WFMZ-TV

- ➤ Deatwon Young from Star City Boxing will fight his second professional match this Friday at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. He won his first bout in April with a first-round knockout against Obed Sepulveda and trains hard with his coaches—perfecting his skills for another win. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Ross Tucker— a native of Wyomissing—retired from the NFL in 2007 and built a top sports media career. He was honored on June 19 before the Reading Fightin Phils game when he and Steelers rookie Max Hurleman threw out the first pitch at Wyomissing Night festivities. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Today, Craig Stein announced that the Reading Fightin Phils are being sold to Diamond Baseball Holdings—who will keep the team as the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies and retain its front office led by General Manager Scott Hunsicker.
