- ➤ United Way of Berks County’s annual Big Cheese event was held Friday and Saturday at Penn State Berks, where over 1,000 volunteers packed 500,000 meals to help families facing food insecurity. The meals will be distributed by Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank — some will also go to the Reading School District to support students in need. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Kami Kiritsis, owner of Aqua Om Paddle, said the 'Love Your Lake' event will be held at Blue Marsh Lake on June 27th in Berks County. The event will feature kayak and paddleboard races, educational tables and a sunset paddle — all proceeds will benefit the Pennsylvania Lake Management Society. WFMZ-TV

Philadelphia Ave in Boyertown will host an opening weekend of 'The Three Bears' activities from June 27 to 29 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bear Fever community art project.
