- ➤ Way-Har Farm Market in Upper Tulpehocken Township is joining the Sweet and Salty Trail, a regional event running May 22 through Sept. 8 that highlights local food makers and offers prizes via an app. The farm, managed by a seventh-generation team (Lesher), produces milk for ice cream and more. - ➤ Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps will host free Friends & Family Day on June 13 at Shirk Stadium at Albright College, featuring the premiere of their 2026 competition production with rehearsals beginning after noon and the official program at 5:30 p.m. Reading Eagle

- ➤ R/C Reading Movies 11 & IMAX reopened its upgraded IMAX auditorium at 30 N. Second St. on May 28, featuring luxury heated recliners, a brighter screen, and next-generation projection; the theater will offer Bargain Tuesdays and a $1 summer movie series starting June 16. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Two rare World War II bombers, the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the B-25 Mitchell, are on display at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum today for ground tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (110 Air Museum Drive on Reading Regional Airport). - ➤ Reading School Board approved a five-year contract with RESPA effective July 1 that raises starting wages from $15 to $23.27 per hour + expands leave benefits and launches a mentor program to boost recruitment while strengthening student support services. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Twin Valley Rotary Club honored Ellie Kaplan and Hunter Norton as its May Students of the Month for their strong academic and extracurricular achievements in local high schools. The award recognizes their leadership and contributions within the community. Reading Eagle

- ➤ Caernarvon Township approved zoning relief for Spirited Breeze Care Farm at its 9-acre Blue Rock Hill Road property, letting the mental health therapy farm continue operating despite restrictions on home businesses. - ➤ Senator Fetterman celebrates National Mushroom Day today, recognizing Pennsylvania’s mushroom industry in Chester and Berks counties as a key driver of local jobs and food production — a sign of his continued support for local farmers.
