  • Richard A. Zuber Realty will launch its seventh annual food drive for Berks veterans on Monday in June (donations drop off at its Boyertown office, 201 E Philadelphia Ave). The drive also includes events at a Saturday street fair and at Redner's Market on June 20.  Reading Eagle

CULTURE NEWS

  • Berks Sinfonietta will perform classical music selections at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary's Amphitheater on June 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members, and the program features three regional premieres celebrating the country’s 250th anniversary.  Reading Eagle

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Jacob Karnchanaphati Memorial Trust awarded $3,000 scholarships to 12 Boyertown seniors planning for college at a dinner held at Peppe’s in Gilbertsville, attended by about 50 families (honoring the memory of late soccer player Jacob Karnchanaphati).  Reading Eagle

  • The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance is hosting a healthcare discussion today in Reading to explore ways to boost local job opportunities as Pennsylvania lawmakers plan to increase Berks County’s healthcare workforce.  WFMZ-TV
