- ➤ On Memorial Day morning in Jim Dietrich Park, people gathered in Muhlenberg Township to honor fallen service members. The event featured performances by Junior ROTC, a brass band, and Boy Scouts — speakers paid tribute by sharing heartfelt poems and stories. WFMZ-TV
- ➤ On Monday, May 26th, several towns across Berks held Memorial Day ceremonies to honor US armed forces who died in service, even though few people attended. In Fleetwood & Sinking Spring, parades and flag placements kept a 157-year tradition alive & honored those who served. Reading Eagle

- ➤ A real black bear was seen on home security cameras Monday morning in the Hamburg area of Tilden Township, where homeowner Brian Hahn—who decorates his house with bear statues—captured the animal strolling along his walkway and nearby road, prompting concern for local pets, children, and livestock. Fidler, who also made key plays at the plate, said his strong performance gives the team hope for their next game in the PIAA tournament — scheduled for Monday, June 2 — as they look to extend their winning streak.
