- ➤ On Sunday, 21 models walked the runway at the Pink Passion for Fashion Show held at the Double Tree Hotel in Reading, including 15 breast cancer survivors whose outfits were provided free by local vendors—raising funds for programming and services for survivors. WFMZ-TV
- ➤ The Armed Forces Day Parade—led by the Reading High Marine Corps JROTC color guard—took place May 18 along Penn Avenue in Wyomissing and West Reading, where marchers honored America’s military. The longstanding event continues to be a cherished tradition in the community. Reading Eagle

- ➤ Berks County sheriff’s office is seeking two fugitives—24 year old Josh Pierre, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds and is wanted on theft charges after taking items from a vehicle on April 29, and 34 year old Dylan Bragg, who is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 190 pounds and is wanted for failing to update his sex offender registration after missing an address check on February 18—and asks anyone with information to call 610-478-6390. - ➤ Kutztown won its first Berks softball title in 23 years on Saturday — beating Twin Valley 5-2 — and saw two players, Brianna Bauscher (player of the year) and teammate Sadie Berger, earn spots on the all-conference team. BCIAA softball coaches also named Wyomissing's Jim Campbell as coach of the year and honored players from other schools. Reading Eagle

Mifflin led the all-conference baseball all-star team with three selections including senior Bryce Detwiler who repeats as player of the year along with Mustangs seniors Ethan Grim and Travis Jenkins. Coach Chris Hole who led Gov. Mifflin to last year's title and has a 22-1 record was named coach of the year as the team heads into today's District 3 Class 6A quarterfinal against Northeastern.
