  • The Berks County sheriff's office is seeking two fugitives—Jeremy Jefferson, 39, wanted for robbery after a March 8 incident in Reading where he took a phone and TV and injured a victim’s finger, and Juan Morales, 31, wanted for theft of services after leaving a motel without paying—with anyone with information urged to call 610-478-6390.  Reading Eagle

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On May 4, college students from Berks County and nearby communities earned awards for research and student activities—John Zappacosta of Exeter Township received the Kutztown University Undergraduate Research Series badge while Reading’s Zayon Cordova Febres and Favian J. Frutos-Corona were honored by Muhlenberg College and Pennsylvania College of Technology. Other students were inducted into honor societies and presented their work at the annual Inquiry Symposium at Lebanon Valley College.  Reading Eagle
