- ➤ The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates will host a Colonial 250th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 27 from noon to 8 p.m. at the historic Daniel Boone Homestead near Baumstown, featuring reenactments, demonstrations, and hands-on colonial trades to mark America’s 250th anniversary. - ➤ Governor Mifflin High School senior Joseph Wentzler earned an Associates Degree from Reading Area Community College last December — the first in his district to do so — and will attend the college ceremony on May 8 before high school graduation. - ➤ The Reading Science Center is hosting its third annual Science Day (theme: Taking off) at its new venue, Reading Regional Airport today. WFMZ-TV
- ➤ Berks County Parks and Recreation has introduced Park Packs to help residents explore local parks with themed backpacks (architecture, insect identification, bird watching, and nature art) that offer educational outdoor activities.
