ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ After a house fire was reported just after sunrise Monday in Robeson Township, the Geigertown chief and three firefighters entered a burning home without air tanks to rescue three people and were hospitalized for smoke inhalation while two residents died, and officials said their action was spurred by a deadly fire less than three weeks ago (which killed a 34-year-old woman and her father). - ➤ Officers responded on April 28th at 2:30 p.m. to a call about human remains found near Route 176 in Cumru Township—investigators confirmed the remains are in advanced decomposition and believed to be female before transporting them for further analysis. Berks Weekly

- ➤ The Foundation for the Reading Pagoda is asking residents to share ideas on how to sustain and use the historic landmark during its renovations through an online survey. The survey, which began gathering suggestions last year, will help shape a six-month strategic plan addressing capacity, safety, and long-term maintenance for the Pagoda. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Genesius Theatre in Reading will present Raisin from May 2 to May 11 with performances at 7:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The musical features live music from a 16-piece orchestra and an all-Black cast — it also offers a Park/Dinner/Shuttle/Show program with DoubleTree. Berks Weekly
