  • The Rivers chapter teamed with the West Reading Fire Department and volunteers to install free smoke alarms in preregistered homes on April 19—knocking on doors to offer the service in local neighborhoods.   • The Berks County Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2025 class and will hold its induction ceremony on June 19 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading.  Reading Eagle

  • Locals used kayaks (and small motor boats) to remove trash from the Schuylkill River in a community cleanup effort.  WFMZ-TV

  • SightMD Pennsylvania warns residents that allergy season can make eyes itchy, red, and blurry by exposing them to pollen. The center (1300 Broadcasting Road, Spring Township) offers eye care options and advises scheduling an exam if symptoms persist.  Reading Eagle
