- ➤ Berks County honored Vietnam War veterans on March 29 with a Welcome Home event where about 70 veterans shared their combat stories and experiences. Chapter 131 Vietnam Veterans of America organized the gathering to mark National Vietnam War Veterans Day, which commemorates the day in 1973 when the last US combat troops left Vietnam. WFMZ-TV

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting April 11 until May 18, crews will work on park roadways at Blue Marsh Lake so parts of the park—such as the Visitor Center, Dry Brooks Day Use Area, and sections of the trail—will be closed while Boat Ramps remain open. The Blue Marsh Lake Trail at Mount Pleasant Bridge will also be closed April 21 until May 9 for PennDOT paving operations. Reading Eagle
