- ➤ IM ABLE Foundation raised over $350,000 at its annual BASH fundraiser on March 15 at the Alvernia Plex in Reading, surpassing its $250,000 goal with 750 registrants and 50 volunteers. The event featured a wheelchair basketball tournament and awarded life-changing adaptive equipment including a custom wheelchair for Aiden Guzovsky and a handcycle for first responder Emily Nappi while honoring key community supporters with awards. - ➤ Eight people were injured in a crash on Route 422 in Exeter when a juvenile driver fled an attempted traffic stop around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night; state police are investigating and one passenger remains critically injured (the district attorney said charges are expected for those in the fleeing vehicle) as the busy road was shut down for several hours. - ➤ Local farms and food banks face challenges after the USDA canceled a federal program that moved nearly 20,000 pounds of fruit from Weaver's Orchard to community food banks each year.
