- ➤ The Help a Girl Out initiative marks its fifth anniversary by collecting a record 138,367 menstrual products to address period poverty in the region. A Pick Day event is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 at Helping Harvest in Sinking Spring where the display will be shared before shipments begin. Berks Weekly
- ➤ YMCA of Reading & Berks County announced Monday (Mar. 16) that Ken Borkey, Jr. has been appointed president and CEO. The longtime leader will continue to serve the community in his new role. WFMZ-TV

- ➤ Tom Sturgis, longtime CEO of Tom Sturgis Pretzels in Berks, died at 92. The store said he carried his family’s pretzel legacy forward for decades and left a lasting mark on the local business community. WFMZ-TV
