- ➤ Vox Philia will host its annual Black History Month concert on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at Immanuel UCC in Shillington, featuring regional choirs from Berks County (including Penn State Berks and Kutztown University). Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Berks Weekly

- ➤ On Feb. 22, area colleges honored graduates from Commonwealth University and the University of Maryland Global Campus, and several students received Phi Kappa Phi memberships (including Emma Moody and Jared Maynard). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State Sen. Chris Gebhard announced that Berks County fire and EMS agencies have received over $1 million in state grants to upgrade equipment, complete training and improve facilities. The funding will help local first responders better meet community needs and is sourced from slot machine gaming proceeds. Berks Weekly

Good Thyme for Life Dining Week
Good Thyme For Life is an annual dining event in Berks County for Co-County Wellness Services, raising money for their mission of public health. This year’s event runs from March 2nd-8th and features 7 local restaurants each night, generously donating a portion of the evening revenue to support our work in education and advocacy.

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. — DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading — Free entry for kids — A family-friendly event featuring voice actors, vendors, attractions, and a huge cosplay contest.
