- ➤ Kanpai Sushi opened Feb. 12 at 3407 N. Fifth Street Highway in Muhlenberg Township, offering unlimited sushi and appetizers. It charges $18.99 for lunch + $28.99 for dinner and is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reading Eagle

- ➤ Danny Gardner, a Reading native who began his acting in local theatre, is starring as Lumiere in the 30th Anniversary Broadway tour of Beauty and the Beast. The tour will hit The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia in February. Berks Weekly
- ➤ Reading Symphony Orchestra and the Yocum Institute for Arts Education are partnering to debut a 'visual concerto' on Oct. 10 that celebrates Berks County through creative photo submissions (ages 5–22). Over 1,000 local images will be curated and displayed on a 440 sqft screen during a live performance of Joseph Curiale’s 'Awakening'. Reading Eagle
- ➤ A crowd gathered Saturday at the Historic Dreibelbis Farm near Virginville for a demonstration of traditional ice harvesting techniques using antique tools and a horse-drawn sleigh ride — attendees enjoyed a bonfire, homemade soup, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. Reading Eagle
- ➤ The Reading Public Museum is hosting Re-Discovering Native America: Stories in Motion with The Red Road Project, a photo-docuseries featuring over 90 photographs and a video that showcase modern Native American voices from Feb. 7 to May 3 at 500 Museum Road (free admission for enrolled Reading School District students with ID). - ➤ Berks County Kennel Club is inviting high school seniors planning to study animal science to apply for a scholarship award. Interested students can request an application form by email ([email protected]). Reading Eagle
- ➤ Reading Hospital and local groups host 'Let’s Talk, Period,' a free event for teens to learn about puberty and periods on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences in West Reading. Registration is needed; attendees receive a period kit and may donate bras. Berks Weekly

Good Thyme For Life is an annual dining event in Berks County for Co-County Wellness Services, raising money for their mission of public health. This year’s event runs from March 2nd-8th and features 7 local restaurants each night, generously donating a portion of the evening revenue to support our work in education and advocacy.
