- ➤ The Reading Symphony Orchestra will perform Valentine’s with Romeo and Juliet on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Santander Performing Arts Center, presenting pieces from Puccini and Tchaikovsky alongside local soloists (in collaboration with the Berks Opera Company). Reading Eagle
- ➤ Berks History Center is celebrating Black History Month by hosting a presentation Saturday at 10 a.m. where Dr. Benjamin Carter will share how African Americans aided the Underground Railroad at Six Penny Creek Settlement near Hopewell Furnace (a key part of our local heritage). WFMZ-TV

- ➤ Alvernia University partnered with Jay Sidhu to launch the Never Ever Ever Give Up Global Leadership Boot Camp from June 14-26, a two-week summer program for teens from YPO families to explore entrepreneurship, AI and ethical leadership on campus and on trips to key cities. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Twenty-eight Resident Assistants took part in a community service day with Berks Nature in January, cleaning trails and parks as part of their Spring 2026 training. - ➤ Boyertown and Kutztown libraries will stop processing passport applications starting Friday (Feb. 13) after the U.S. Department of State ruled nonprofits cannot charge fees for the service; local officials are seeking fixes to help offset revenue loss and prevent program cuts. Reading Eagle
- ➤ Reading City Council on Monday presented a proclamation honoring retiring Fire Chief James G. Stoudt, Jr. whose service began in 1993 as a volunteer firefighter; council members praised his decades of dedication and noted his plans to join the Civil Service Board. WFMZ-TV
- ➤ The county will begin a yearlong celebration on March 11 at Reading Area Community College’s Miller Center for the Arts to mark its 275th anniversary with an invitation-only reception at 5 to 6 p.m. and a public program at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. highlighting its past and future. Reading Eagle

Good Thyme For Life is an annual dining event in Berks County for Co-County Wellness Services, raising money for their mission of public health.
