CULTURE NEWS

  • The Reading Public Museum opens Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks on Saturday with an exhibit featuring 20 iconic skyscraper models (with over 200,000 bricks) that invite visitors to build designs. A member preview runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Reading Eagle

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Volunteers at the Trees for the Fishes event used recycled Christmas trees to create fish cover and prevent erosion at Blue Marsh Lake on Saturday, Jan. 24 by attaching 300+ donated trees to the shoreline for fish spawning.  Reading Eagle

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Coldwell Banker Realty inducted a group of agents to leadership roles in regional Realtor associations for 2026. The appointments include three from Wyomissing along with representatives from Camp Hill, Hershey, York, Lancaster, Greencastle + Wilmington, and one agent was honored as the 2025 RBAR Realtor of the Year.  Reading Eagle

SPORTS NEWS

  • Friday night BCIAA girls basketball saw several teams win; Reading High posted a 54-22 victory over Muhlenberg and Twin Valley defeated Daniel Boone 51-16, while Schuylkill Valley, Gov. Mifflin and Oley Valley also secured wins to improve their records.  Reading Eagle
  • Friday night, Oley Valley defeated Antietam 67-62 in Division 4 boys basketball, handing Antietam their first conference loss; Luke Turchi scored 24 and Nick DeBalko 19 as the Lynx improved to 10-7 while the Mountaineers dropped to 12-5.  Reading Eagle
